Necessary store functionality only; no optional advertising or analytics trackers.
Why browser storage is used
The cart and checkout need to connect consecutive requests from the same browser. A necessary session cookie identifies a private server session containing cart quantities, a checkout draft, form-security values and duplicate-submission information. It is not a payment card token or an advertising profile. Blocking all cookies can prevent the cart or checkout from working, even when product and policy pages remain readable.
The merchant session
The merchant session cookie is named dgphotographyllc_session. It has a 12-hour absolute lifetime from session creation, rather than being extended indefinitely by activity. The server also checks that absolute age and resets an expired session on a subsequent request. The cookie is HTTP-only, SameSite=Lax and secure on HTTPS. A browser may apply its own storage limits. Cart and draft information can disappear if you delete cookies, use another browser or let the session expire.
Your explicit preference
A compact bottom card appears until you choose Accept, Essential only or save a preference in Settings. Both choices currently allow only necessary functionality; there are no optional trackers to enable. Opening Settings, going to another page or closing Settings without saving does not create a decision. The preference is saved in local storage using a store-specific key, sf-cookie-consent:v1:dgphotographyllc, with a saved time. It expires after 180 calendar days and is checked on later page loads. It is not shared as a consent choice with another store.
Reopening and changing settings
Use Cookie settings in the footer to reopen the card and see your current choice. Save a new preference or go back without changing it. The settings controls do not erase your shopping cart or submit an order. If local storage is unavailable, a choice may last only on the current page; the card can appear again. You can also clear this website’s local storage in your browser to remove the remembered decision. Removing a preference does not cancel an order already submitted.
Preview navigation and third parties
When viewed through a versioned preview address, the preview host may set sf_site and sf_version cookies for up to 12 hours so links and assets stay on the selected store release. These are routing cookies, not optional advertising tools or the merchant’s consent preference. Fonts and product images are served from the storefront assets; there is no third-party embedded map, social widget, analytics dashboard or advertising pixel in this implementation.
Cleanup, control and contact
Session and order-record cleanup happens during later site requests, not through a promised hourly background job. Saved order requests follow the separate 365-calendar-day retention described in Privacy; deleting a browser cookie does not erase them. Use browser settings to review, block or remove cookies, understanding the effect on necessary functions. Direct questions to [email protected]. We do not imply that accepting the card waives privacy rights, agrees to marketing or grants permission for tracking that is not actually used.
